Depeche Mode are poised to return!
Over the last week Depeche Mode have been teasing a virtual event that will be taking place this Tuesday, October 4th in Berlin. In August Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed on social media that they've been working on a new album and shared a picture from inside the studio. This upcoming event is expected to be an interview/press conference where they'll share some details behind their new record and touring plans.
Depeche Mode held a similar album launch event in October 2012 when they announced details behind Delta Machine and tour plans for the album which was later released in 2013. This year's event might be a bit bittersweet for Depeche Mode and fans - there will certainly be excitement behind a new album and tour, but yet it'll feel much different as Depeche Mode ushers in a new phase of the band without Andrew Fletcher.
Tuesday's virtual event takes place live from Berlin at 1pm CET (Central European Time) which is 7am ET. The streaming platform (where to stream) has not been announced yet but according to the last video teaser fans can expect "more info soon." View the teasers below.
UPDATE: Depeche Mode confirmed that the live streaming event will take place on their official website and Facebook page. The event starts at 7am ET / 1pm Berlin time.
The new album will be Depeche Mode's 15th studio album and follows Spirit, which was released in 2017.
