The House Of Love will release a new album in September.
The band's long awaited album is titled A State Of Grace and is the band's first new album since 2013's She Paints Words In Red.
The House Of Love has gone through an important lineup change since 2013 - Terry Bickers, Pete Evans, and Matt Jury have left the band (amicable split), with The House Of Love now featuring founding member Guy Chadwick with a new set of musicians that he originally put together for the band's US tour in 2020. The tour ended up getting canceled due to the pandemic, but Chadwick worked with them to create the new album and will be touring with them in the fall on their rescheduled US tour.
Chadwick refers to A State Of Grace as the best set of songs he's written in years, and longtime fans may be interested to find the album will include some different sounds. The 12 track record has been described as "an eclectic collection of tracks" including driving rock sounds, a powerful ballad, and a "folksy" finale, which features a banjo, violin, harp, pedal and lap steel guitar.
A State Of Grace will be released September 16th and will be available as a 2LP record, CD, and digital download. Pre-order here and view the tracklisting below.
Meanwhile, as previously reported Cherry Red will be releasing 8 disc set The House Of Love: Burn Down The World, which collects the band's early 90s Fontana recordings. The set will be released July 29th and is available to pre-order here.
