A photo book celebrating Joy Division will be published this fall.
Kevin Cummins' legendary book Juvenes will see a new pressing in October. The original edition was published in 2007 and became a mega-collectors item for fans as only 226 copies were pressed. Now over a decade later, a new pressing will be issued. This time it will see a wider release and adds material (new interviews with Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Stephen Morris; plus unpublished photos) not included in the original pressing.
Several editions of Juvenes will be released - a limited edition version (limited to 100 copies) includes an 8 x 10 inch print of Ian Curtis taken during a Joy Division rehearsal in August 1979 (this photgraph is not featured in the book). Housed in a cloth-bound foil stamped clamshell box, the print is accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate and a signed copy of the book itself, wrapped in a special edition jacket exclusive to this set. The retail price is ~ $700 dollars (495 pounds). Pre-order the limited edition version here.
A less pricy option exists too: The non-limited edition version (non-numbered, no print) is still a beautiful addition to any Joy Division fan's collection and retails for ~ $40. Signed copies are available from Rough Trade UK, or pre-order a non-signed copy. View the pre-order options here.
