New Order's seminal singles masterpiece Substance is finally available digitally!

The classic double album compiles the genius work of New Order and is a massively cherished part of New Order's discography. The collection has not been available to stream or download until now.

Though obviously the record is best listened to on physical media, it's fantastic and handy to have a digital version to enjoy. Plus it keeps hope alive that a full reissue vinyl edition is in the works for the foreseeable future.

FYI for long-time fans: notably, the "Mesh" / "Cries And Whispers" tracklisting error has finally been fixed for the digital editions! The decades-long error stemmed from the "Everything's Gone Green" 12" release and followed the band for years.

"Mesh" and "Cries And Whispers" both appeared as b-sides on 1981's "Everything's Gone Green," but the tracks were listed in the wrong order on some of the 12" editions. Years later the tracklisting error followed New Order onto Substance: "Mesh" was listed as track 3 on Disc 2, however in reality "Cries And Whispers" is the song that really appears as track 3, leading to a whole lot of confusion still to this day.

Meanwhile speaking of New Order's flawless 80s output, don't forget that the definitive edition of Power, Corruption & Lies will be issued October 2nd along with the four non-album PCL-era singles "Blue Monday," "Confusion," "Thieves Like Us," and "Murder." Head here to pre-order.
