Hum are back with a brand new studio album.
Inlet is the band's first studio album in 22 years - their last studio record Downward Is Heavenward was released in 1998. The eight track album is a consistent mix of r e a l l y heavy swirly space rock/shoegaze -- and is a glorious return. Inlet is much, much heavier than the material they released in the 90s and features several sprawling -- but never rambling -- epic songs. Fantastic!
Inlet was issued today as a download through Bandcamp and Polyvinyl Records and arrives on physical formats August 31st. For physical options choose from black double vinyl, CD, or album (CD or vinyl) bundled with a Hum t-shirt. FYI: the physical versions include an immediate digital download; choose from mp3 or WAV format.
