Joy Division's seminal album Closer turns 40 years old in July.
To commemorate the occasion a 40th anniversary edition of Closer will be issued on July 17th. The band's critically acclaimed second and final studio album has been pressed on 180 gm crystal clear vinyl and is available to pre-order now.
In addition to the 40th anniversary edition of Closer, the non-album singles "Transmission," "Atmosphere," and "Love Will Tear Us Apart" are set to be reissued with newly remastered audio. Twelve inch editions of all three singles have been pressed on 180g vinyl and feature the original artwork.
