Influential DJ/producer and visionary Andrew Weatherall has died from a pulmonary embolism. He was 56 years old.
Weatherall honed his skills on the dancefloor as a club DJ and later gained worldwide prominence after Primal Scream enlisted him to work on their Screamadelica track "Loaded." Weatherall went on to work with so many other legendary artists over the years such as Happy Mondays, Siouxsie Sioux, New Order, The Orb, James, My Bloody Valentine, Noel Gallagher, Mark Lanegan, and more.
