The The have been celebrating their 40th anniversary this year with commemorative merchandise. Additionally a new book Pedal Crush, which includes an interview/photo feature on Matt Johnson's guitar pedals was recently published. Authors Kim Bjørn and Scott Harper describe the book as a "definitive" guide on pedals and besides the feature on Johnson includes other in-depth artist interviews, rare pedals, and illustrated tips and tricks.
