The The have been celebrating their 40th anniversary this year with commemorative merchandise. As the year winds down, several new items have just been added to the store, along with a few highly sought after items that have long been out of stock like posters and t-shirts with lyrics from The The classics including "This Is The Day," "Lonely Planet," and "The Beat(en) Generation." Additionally a new book Pedal Crush, which includes an interview/photo feature on Matt Johnson's guitar pedals was recently published. Authors Kim Bjørn and Scott Harper describe the book as a "definitive" guide on pedals and besides the feature on Johnson includes other in-depth artist interviews, rare pedals, and illustrated tips and tricks.
