Spiritualized's first live album Fucked Up Inside will be reissued on black vinyl on October 26th. The seven tracks from the whirring spacey-psychedelic album were captured live in San Diego and Los Angeles in 1992 while on tour in support of Lazer Guided Melodies. The album features songs from Lazer Guided Melodies and their 1995 album Pure Phase, plus a cover of Spacemen 3's "Walking With Jesus." The title is taken from lyrics from Spiritualized's song "Medication," which was released as a single few months prior to the North American gigs. Highlights from the album include the mesmerizing 14 minute version of "Shine A Light" and the swirling magnificence of "Smiles."
Fucked Up Inside is a rarity - the album was issued in 1993 as a limited edition mail-order only release. A remastered edition pressed on 180 gm black vinyl with a fancy embossed silver foil blocked sleeve will be released on October 26th and is available to pre-order here. The CD edition of the release is out now.
