Laibach return with a new album titled The Sound Of Music on November 23rd. The album includes Laibach's take on classics from the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, along with interpretations of Korean folk songs. The story behind the album dates back to 2015 when Laibach were invited to perform in North Korea. The band chose to perform selections from The Sound Of Music to fans there because the soundtrack is often used to teach English to children in North and South Korea.
Today Laibach unveiled the official video for the album's title track. The GLORIOUS rendition of "The Sound Of Music" is available to stream below and includes footage from Laibach's trip to North Korea.
Later this month Laibach will premiere The Sound Of Music at the Steirischer Herbst festival in Austria with a string sextet and children’s choir. More details on the performance are posted here.
