As previously reported a double disc set featuring rare and unreleased songs from Joe Strummer will be released on September 28th. Joe Strummer 001 collects classics, demos, and previously unreleased material spanning his work outside The Clash including solo material, soundtrack works, and his bands 101ers, and The Mescaleros.
Two songs from the compilation were issued last month -- "London Is Burning" (the raw version of the last song Strummer recorded) and "It's A Rockin' World" (originally featured on season 2 of South Park and released on Chef Aid: The South Park Album). Today a previously unreleased song titled "Rose Of Erin" has been issued. Stream all three tracks below.
Joe Strummer 001 will be released on double CD, heavyweight vinyl, and digital download, plus several limited editions containing photos and sketches taken from Strummer's personal archive are available. View all the pre-order options here.
