The Cure celebrated their 40th anniversary Saturday night in London's Hyde Park. Ride, Slowdive, The Twilight Sad, and Interpol were among the bands also playing the daylong festival, but obviously the main attraction was Robert Smith and The Cure. Today marks the 40th anniversary of The Cure. Their first show ever (aka Mourning The Departed) took place at The Rocket in Crawley July 9th, 1978.
