The legendary Paul Weller turned 60 years old today. To celebrate his birthday Weller announced the release of his 14th studio album (26th album overall), True Meanings, which he describes as "string-laden, largely acoustic and Nick Drake-esque." The album arrives in September, but as a special birthday present to fans, he's premiered the first track "Aspects" and is giving it away as a free download.
The announcement of the album today is kind of a big deal to Weller. Last year prior to releasing A Kind Revolution he revealed he was already working on a new solo record and hoped to release it in 2018 to commemorate his 60th birthday.
