A new film featuring a character obsessed with Morrissey and The Smiths is set to open in theaters in the U.K. The More You Ignore Me, directed by Keith English, was adapted from Jo Brand's 2009 novel and was named one of the "must see" movies of the year according to The Guardian. The film is a comedy-drama set in a small English town in the 1980s and revolves around a family's struggle with mental illness (the character Alice, who is a mega-Smiths fan, is a teenager dealing with her mother's schizophrenia).
