Ian Brown of The Stone Roses has been banned from driving for six months. According to the Warrington Guardian, last February the singer was caught speeding in his Lexus at a speed in excess of 70 MPH. His case was heard on January 2nd, and since he was a repeat offender, the court handed down a six months driving suspension, plus Brown was ordered to pay a fine of 660 pounds (~ 900 U.S. dollars).
The Stone Roses never officially disbanded after last summer's shows, however Ian Brown has reportedly been working on a new solo album which is expected to be released this spring.
