On Friday Hüsker Dü released a three disc boxset titled Savage Young Dü, which collects their early output from from 1979 - 1982.
In celebration of the release Minneapolis public radio station KCMP presented a five part documentary on the band recounting Hüsker Dü's formative years and includes discussions with all three founding members, Bob Mould, Greg Norton and Grant Hart, as well as other artists/musicians that were inspired by the legendary band. The series begins with a tribute to Hart, who sadly passed away in September (portions of the interview featured in the documentary were said to be Hart's final interview). Do You Remember? A Podcast About Hüsker Dü begins is available to stream here.
Savage Young Dü was released on 3CDs or 4LPs and features remastered editions of Hüsker Dü's studio output from 1979 - 1982 and includes various demos, live versions, and alternate takes. The massive set includes 69 songs in all; 47 of these are previously unreleased. Order a copy of Savage Young Dü here.
