Morrissey's U.S. tour in support of his forthcoming album Low In High School kicked off to what appeared to be a fine start last week in Portland. The tour next hit Seattle and San Francisco and then the wheels fell off the wagon...
Last night Morrissey was scheduled to perform at the Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles, California, but the show was canceled.
According to reports the show was shuttered by Morrissey just minutes before it was scheduled to begin because it was too cold. Apparently the venue's onstage heater broke and because the temperature inside the amphitheater was in the 40s, the famously finicky legend deemed it too brisk to perform.
Fans were understandably upset and outraged especially considering they were already piling into the venue and were ready to see Morrissey in action.
Morrissey's tour is scheduled to resume November 10th with a sold out show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The current forecast calls for a high of 71 degrees and a low of 51 with 10 percent chance of precipitation.
