Stephen Morris + Mike Joyce talk drums at 'Stories From The Seat'
Drumming legends Stephen Morris (Joy Division/New Order) and Mike Joyce (The Smiths) chatted up their craft in Manchester last night. During the Stories From The Seat event, host Mark Radcliffe of the BBC led the discussion which centered on drumming techniques and songwriting contributions Morris and Joyce made to seminal Manchester songs. Pete Marshall, who is currently playing for Paul Heaton (ex-Housemartins/Beautiful South leader) was also part of the panel discussion. The evening also included some performance sets including Morris performing along to Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and New Order's "Everything's Gone Green."
