Brilliant and exciting news for Verve fans -- guitarist Nick McCabe and drummer Pete Salisbury* are playing together again for the first time in almost 10 years. The pair are set to perform this Sunday, July 30th at the Kendal Calling festival in the U.K. and will be joined by Martin Blunt of The Charlatans on bass. The set is part of the Tim Peaks** stage at Kendal Calling, which also includes sets from Clint Boon (of Inspiral Carpets), The Sundowners, and more.
UPDATE: A fan-filmed clip of Nick McCabe, Pete Salisbury, Martin Blunt, and Denise Johnson performing "The Rolling People" is available to view below:

Meanwhile, as previously reported Verve are set to release expanded editions of Urban Hymns on September 1st in celebration of the album's 20th anniversary. Read more about that here.
*Pete Salisbury has been a non-official member of the Charlatans since the death of founding drummer Jon Brooks in 2013. Salisbury played on the band's last two albums -- 2015's Modern Nature and 2017's Different Days. Different Days also features legends Johnny Marr, Paul Weller, Stephen Morris, and Gillian Gilbert.
**Tim Peaks is the coffee company Charlatans' leader Tim Burgess launched in 2009. The company name Tim Peaks is a nod to the David Lynch series Twin Peaks. Burgess donates proceeds from coffee sales to the David Lynch Foundation.
