A new version of U2's "Red Hill Mining Town" will be released later this year in celebration of the band's 30th anniversary. Bono broke the news in a new interview with Mojo magazine, revealing that U2 went into the studio with Steve Lillywhite to remix the classic track. The new mix will include newly recorded vocals by Bono as well as brass by the Arklow Silver Band, which was recorded for the original, but buried in the mix.
No word on when the new version of "Red Hill Mining Town" will be released, however since U2 is full on celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree, it'll most likely appear on an anniversary edition of the Joshua Tree. Read the report here.
