The beloved John Hughes' film Ferris Bueller's Day Off was released in 1986, however the film's soundtrack never received an official release. La La Land Records has decided to right that wrong; on September 13th the soundtrack will receive its first official release. The 35 track compilation features nine songs from the movie, including the Dream Academy's cover of The Smiths' classic "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want," along with the original score by Ira Newborn, along with unused & bonus tracks. View the tracklisting below via Film Music Reporter.
FYI: The limited edition release goes on sale on September 13th at 3pm ET through the La-La Land Records website. If you want a copy, be sure to act fast -- only 5000 copies will be released.
