Get Ready: New Order launches own beer
Get ready! New Order is launching its own beer later this month. The band announced they've teamed up with Moorhouse's Brewery of Burnley to launch a new premium beer called Stray Dog (the beer is named after the Music Complete track featuring Iggy Pop on vocals). The premium 4.2% golden ale has been described as:
"...a refreshing and clean tasting golden ale with hints of citrus fruit and lychee, all balanced by a subtle bitterness."
Stray Dog premieres August 28th at a special New Order-themed evening in Manchester at The Sawyer's Arms, and will be available exclusively Mitchells & Butlers pubs during the U.K.'s Bank Holiday weekend (August 28 - August 31st). In September Stray Dog will be available at pubs throughout the U.K. plus a bottled version will also be sold at supermarkets and will be available as export.
New Order announced the news on its official website, stating:
"It’s been a pleasure to work with Moorhouse’s of Burnley on our first foray into the brewing business."
This is not only New Order's first foray into the brewing business, but it's also the first time Moorhouse's of Burnley has collaborated with a band to launch a beer.
