Lou Reed's solo material from the '70s and early '80s will be released as a massive 17 CD box set The RCA Arista Album Collection on October 7th. Reed himself oversaw the remastering of the material included prior to his death; reportedly this was the last project he worked on before his death in October 2013. The set includes 17 CDs (16 albums; one of the albums Lou Reed Live Take No Prisoners is a double cd), and comes with an 80 page hard bound book with rare photos and artwork, in depth liner notes, 8" x 10" prints, and more.
