Peter Buck announced details for a new solo album titled Warzone Earth. In a posting on R.E.M.'s official website, Buck called Warzone Earth his best solo work to date. The vinyl only release features a ton of guests including Krist Novoselic, Jeff Tweedy, and Bill Rieflin plus it comes in two editions with each sporting a different cover designed by folk art legend Mingering Mike. Warzone Earth will be released October 9th through Little Axe Records and will also be available in limited quantities at independent record stores.
