We're getting closer to the release of Monumentary, the highly anticipated Wax Trax! documentary which tells the story of the legendary music store and record label. Julia Nash, daughter of Wax Trax! co-founder Jim Nash, has been overseeing everything Wax Trax! since the death of her father and co-founder Dannie Flesher, including the Monumentary film.  Though Nash and the producers have been able to self-fund most of the project, they need to raise some extra funds to help offset post-production costs (music clearance, audio mixing, etc).  Rather than get deep pockets involved (which can lead to control issues, creative differences, etc), Nash decided to launch a 30 day Kickstarter campaign and offer up some rare and unique items for campaign rewards.  Some of the items available include test pressings, vintage posters, and the film's soundtrack on limited edition colored vinyl.

So far the campaign is on track to be fully funded -- only three days in and the Kickstarter is already 75% funded!  Still, this is an all or nothing campaign (plus don't miss an opportunity to snag some rare Wax Trax! merch), so be sure to head over and check out the Kickstarter here.  The campaign video is available to view below:
