Wire return with its 13th studio album, simply titled Wire, on April 21st in North America. The band previously said the record "is full of swooning pop melodies with a 60s tinge and an irresistible, near motorik rhythmic momentum. One can recognise certain melodic inflections, guitar and bass motifs, and drum rhythms from Wire’s idiosyncratic vocabulary but it has a remarkable freshness." But don't take it from them, judge for yourself -- the full album is available to stream ahead of its release. Head over to NPR to stream the record (stream available through April 12th) and pre-order Wire from iTunes, Amazon, and Wire's official store. [Note that the digital download will be available starting April 13th but the physical version arrives April 21st.]
Don't miss Wire on the road in North America this spring. The tour includes a June 9th stop at the Majestic Theater in Detroit and tickets are available here.
