Fans of the classic noise/fuzz-guitar band Hum will want to check out some new material by the band Cloakroom. Cloakroom will be releasing a double album next year, and the album was engineered by Hum's Matt Talbott. Talbott recorded the album (in analog) at his Illinois-based studio Earth Analog, plus he's featured on vocals on a song titled "Dream Warden." The track is heavy and oh-so-Hum influenced, you might think you're listening to You'd Prefer An Astronaut.
"Dream Warden" is the b-side to Cloakroom's new 7" single "Lossed Over," which was released earlier this week on limited edition colored vinyl (aqua blue or sea blue) and standard black vinyl. Stream "Dream Warden" featuring Matt Talbott along with "Lossed Over" below, plus order the vinyl here. A digital version is also available to download here.
Release info for Cloakroom's double album has not yet been announced, but the record will be released in 2015.
