Outward, aka Corey Philpot is a unique one-man musical project out of London, Kentucky creating a elegant blend of synth/electronic, shoegaze, and alternative. Philpot has been composing and producing music from a young age, utilizing soundscapes to explore abstract questions such as:
"What does the sound of the soul feeling its eternity of nothing and everything sound like? What would a thought sound like if it could be heard by others? What would death sound like?"
Outward certainly composed some breathtaking answers to these questions and more in last year's 4 song EP, The King's Ascension which deservedly captured the attention of Ox-4-Sound, the studio and production company founded by Ride's Mark Gardener. Come this fall a full length album from Outward titled Reverie Remedy will be released (date TBA).
