Chrissie Hynde releases her highly anticipated debut solo album Stockholm on June 10th. To date Hynde has premiered two videos from the album, "Dark Sunglasses," and "You Or No One," plus last week she appeared on Later...with Jools Holland to perform live. Today, in anticipation of the album The Guardian unearthed a 1979 interview with Hynde which was originally published in Melody Maker around the time the Pretenders' cover of "Stop Your Sobbing" (Kinks) was released. The article is an interesting read -- Hynde told stories about Malcolm McLaren, Jackie Wilson, working with Mick Jones, punk ideology, and forming the Pretenders. Read the full article here.
