Veruca Salt confirms Record Store Day limited edition 10" single

As reported here last year, Veruca Salt's original lineup (Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Jim Shapiro, and Steve Lack) has reformed and the band has been busy creating new music with producer Brad Wood, the man responsible for producing Veruca Salt's debut 1994 album American Thighs.

Since the announcement last year, Veruca Salt have spent countless hours in the studio, and from time to time they'd post a picture as evidence they were working on some new songs.

A few weeks ago, a listing for a Veruca Salt 10" Record Store Day release appeared on several vinyl websites. Though the listing wasn't posted on the official Record Store Day website (the official list is published March 20th), it appeared pretty legit. And it was. Today in a posting on the band's official site, Veruca Salt confirmed they're releasing a limited edition 10" single for Record Store Day:

"It's been 14 years but the day has finally come: The original members of Veruca Salt are back together and we're doing our thing once more. On April 19, Record Store Day, we're releasing a limited-edition ten-inch. On one side are two brand-new VS songs; on the other side is "Seether," (a) because this is the 20th anniversary of its original release, and (b) because come on.

We recorded the new songs with Brad Wood, and Minty Fresh is putting the record out, just like the first time around. So much more to tell, but we're too busy relearning all our old songs and recording new ones."
