Madchester bliss: Northside reunites; reissue coming in May

Not sure how this slipped past the radar (this was announced in November!), but Madchester faves Northside have reunited. All four original members are back together and hitting the road for a U.K. tour in April and May.

Though no North American dates are planned at this time, at least fans can look forward to a Northside reissue. Cherry Red Records announced the band's recordings on Factory Records will be released in May -- Factory released several Northside singles in 1990 as well as the band's sole full length Chicken Rhythms in 1991. It's unknown whether any of the material Northside recorded in 1992, which was never released due to Factory's bankruptcy later that year, will be included in the reissue. Cherry Red has requested that fans who have photos of rare Northside recordings, memorabilia, etc., can submit them for possible inclusion in the cd booklet.

More details on the release should be announced soon. In the meantime, shall we take a trip down memory lane?

Fast forward to the present and check out some recent pictures of Northside below. Catch up with the band on Facebook and Twitter.
