Wax Trax! film info + music series produced by Dave Grohl/Roswell Films coming soon?

A funding campaign for the highly anticipated Wax Trax! documentary is expected to launch in the coming weeks. Wax Trax! Chicago emphasized in a posting that they're not looking for a free handout, but need some help to pay for logistical and licensing expenses. In exchange for pledging, they're planning to offer some exciting incentive items like limited edition merchandise, rare collectibles, and possibly the opportunity to connect with some of the artists. More info on the campaign is expected to be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the Wax Trax! update also dropped an interesting nugget that should be of interest to music fans: Dave Grohl's production company Roswell Films is working on a new cable series which highlights music scenes in different cities. The full roster of cities hasn't been announced, but Wax Trax! revealed that they were interviewed and featured in the Chicago episode (perhaps yet another reason Grohl was hanging out in Chicago a couple of weeks ago). No details have been announced about the series, so no word on when the series will launch, or where it will ultimately premiere. Stay tuned.

Finally, in even more Wax Trax! related news, Chris Connelly's new project Bells Into Machines will be releasing a full album later this year. A few days ago the band debuted a promo video featuring snippets of four new songs ("Your Crime Scene - My Career," "Missions," "Wretched Little Deity," and "Sweet Life In Soaring Light") which you can check out below:
