Morrissey's cover of the
Lou Reed classic "Satellite of Love" was released today in North America. The cover was recorded at The Chelsea Ballroom at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on November 25, 2011 and is available as a digital single from
iTunes or
Amazon. A 7" picture disc of "Satellite of Love" will be released on January 28th, and will be backed with Moz's 1992 track "You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side" produced by
Mick Ronson (co-producer of Reed's original version of "Satellite Of Love" and its parent album,
Transformer) as well as a previously unreleased live version of "You Say You Don't Love Me," recorded live in Hyde Park on July 4, 2008.
Autobiography by Morrissey is also
out today.
