Catherine Wheel's Rob Dickinson steers to new career

Doesn't look like a Catherine Wheel reunion will be happening anytime soon. Vocalist Rob Dickinson is spending his time these days restoring Porsche 911 vehicles with his company Singer Vehicle Design. Dickinson likens restoring cars to making an album, and though he says he enjoyed the 10 years he spent making music, his passion lies in restoring cars. Dickinson is clearly focused on cars over music -- he said in the video above that for him, "music has come and gone, but cars have always been constant." Though he's not actively pursuing music at this time, he told Forbes he may return in the future:

"Singer has been my overriding priority for the last three years and has very much monopolized my creative time. Music has taken a back seat although I don’t doubt the passion will find me again soon enough."

"Car" was the b-side to the "Show Me Mary" UK single, and was eventually released in North America in 1996 on Like Cats & Dogs.
