UPDATE (September 9th at 10:30 AM): Erasure has confirmed the November release of Snow Globe.
An Erasure fansite is reporting the new Erasure release will be titled Snow Globe and will be released on November 4th. The website also supplied the following details:
"The album will be Christmas-themed with half of the songs being traditional Christmas songs and half – original Erasure ones. There are few possible reworkings of past Erasure songs to be included on the album – “She Won’t Be Home” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” (both from Erasure’s “Crackers International” EP)."
It should be noted that Erasure has not confirmed any of the info on the fansite, however it's common knowledge that an Erasure holiday album is in the works. The band previously revealed the album will include recordings of standard Christmas songs as well as some originals. Interestingly enough Andy Bell mentioned the band had brought a snow globe into the studio while working on the Christmas songs (see video below) to get into the Christmas spirit while recording in April, so the title seems to make perfect sense.
