As previously reported, Gary Numan will return with a new album in October. The album Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) will be released October 15th in North America and a day earlier internationally. Numan shared the cover art (posted above) and trailer for the album (posted below). The trailer features Numan's dog Wilbur, who became something of a star on Twitter recently after Numan tweeted out pictures of him (there's even a Wilbur Numan parody account).
The first single from Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) is a track called "I Am Dust." Numan debuted the song live at shows last December, and back in May he premiered the studio version of the song on the BBC. Stream the studio version of "I Am Dust" and watch Numan's performance of the track below:
As previously reported, Gary Numan will be playing a pair of shows with Nine Inch Nails in Florida this fall. Numan is a huge NIN fan and considers Pretty Hate Machine to not only be one of his favorite albums, but also the record that inspired him to "get back at it."
