Update on Peter Murphy's arrest: He's out of jail...

An update to the story on Peter Murphy's March 17th arrest in Los Angeles: Yesterday Murphy's lawyer Robert Wilson appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court and entered a not guilty plea to the charges (driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, hit-and-run driving, and possessing methamphetamine). The judge also denied the prosecution's request for Murphy to be held in custody (prosecutors felt he was a flight risk), and allowed Murphy to be released on his own recognizance. A pre-trial hearing has been set for May 17th, which happens to be an off day on Murphy's North American tour. Read the full report in the Los Angeles Times.
