A new interview with Suede's Brett Anderson was published in today's Music Week - a good portion of the interview included a discussion about the current state of the music industry:
"What scares me is the idea that being in a band is becoming a rich kids' plaything...music was once one of the few places on earth where privilege got you nothing. The lack of money in the music industry means a lot of bands on the margins of making a living aren’t able to do so. That’s a really sad thing, it’s often where the truly interesting music comes from. I wonder if The Fall could ever start off today - one of the most inspiring bands ever."
