Peter Murphy was arrested Saturday night in Los Angeles for alleged DUI and possible drug possession. According to reports, Murphy allegedly rear-ended a car in Glendale, California, injuring the driver, then fled the scene. Apparently a witness who observed the incident followed Murphy's car, called the cops, and ended up blocking Murphy on a street in Los Angeles until police arrived to arrest him. Reports indicate police believed Murphy to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol (police report he was "confused") and found "a small plastic bag" (with a substance that has yet to be identified) which Murphy was allegedly trying to dispose of.

Probably not the best time for drama - Murphy is scheduled to hit the road in North America in April. The tour, 'Mr. Moonlight Tour' is Murphy's celebration of the 35th anniversary of Bauhaus and he's promised to play only Bauhaus music at the shows.
