The Brit Awards - Noel Gallagher & Damon Albarn!

The Brit Awards took place earlier tonight in London - the biggest news of the night wasn't about the winners, it was about Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn:

As it turned out, Albarn was on hand to present an award to the charity War Child, and War Child's director of fundraising, Ben Knowles invited both Albarn and Gallagher to sit at his table. According to XFM, Knowles revealed he had always wanted to get the two together:

"It's been really nice to have Noel Gallagher and Damon on our table together this evening! When we put together the first album Help back 1995, it was very much an ambition of War Child to not only help children in conflict but to bring together Blur and Oasis on one album."

Gallagher and Albarn are scheduled to perform at the benefit for Teenage Cancer Trust March 23rd London's Royal Albert Hall. Albarn is performing with Blur's Graham Coxon, and Gallagher closes out the show as the evening's headliner. It seems highly likely at this point that the three will share the stage together for at least a couple of songs, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Stay tuned!
