Inspiral Carpets are releasing a 7" vinyl single "Fix Your Smile" backed with "Save Me" for Record Store Day. The songs were recorded near the end of last year in Manchester and will be available as a limited edition release via OGenesis* on April 20th. It's unclear at this time whether any vinyl copies will be available for RSD in North America - so far the official release lists have not been published, but are expected shortly. A digital (download) release is scheduled for May 4th.

Meanwhile, check out a video with of all sorts of old school Manchestery goodness: Inspiral Carpets performing "I Want You" with Mark E. Smith (from the Fall) followed by Morrissey's "The More You Ignore Me The Closer I Get" - both are from Top of the Pops in 1994!
Finally, here's a short documentary/interview on the Fall from 1994 (via Dangerous Minds)
