Meanwhile, Hooky's ex-bandmates in New Order are back in the studio working on new material. Last year Bernard Sumner revealed he'd like to return to a more electronic/synthy sound on the album. If Gillian Gilbert's tweet is any indication, it appears things are going swimmingly in the studio!

Earlier this week New Order released their outtakes album Lost Sirens which was recorded during the sessions for Waiting For The Sirens' Call prior to Peter Hook's departure. The album is streaming in full over at Rolling Stone, and is available to purchase digitally through iTunes, Amazon, and Rhino. Pre-order physical import copies on cd and vinyl through Amazon. A domestic physical release is not planned.
