A new feature and interview with New Order titled, 'New Order interview: Have they stopped arguing at last,' was published by The Telegraph today. Though most of the interview was conducted in the fall of 2012, the piece includes additional info obtained from the band near the end of last year. A good portion of the interview discussed the recording of New Order 1989 album Technique and its impact on electro/dance music, plus they discuss the recently released outtakes album Lost Sirens.

New Order also confirmed they are indeed in the studio working on a new album. According to the interview, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, and Gillian Morris are working on new material as a trio, and there are plans to tour in 2013, so perhaps something new will be released later this year ahead of the live dates.

As is the case with most recent interviews with New Order, Peter Hook and his memoir Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division eventually became the topic of discussion. The Telegraph asked New Order if they've read Peter Hook's memoir. Part of their response:

Stephen Morris: "...it's every anecdote he's ever told about Joy Division over the years"

Bernard Sumner: "...it's patently obvious that he's so bitter and twisted"

Gillian Morris: "...I thought you didn't speak ill of the dead"

The Telegraph also asked if they could imagine Hook ever returning to New Order, to which Sumner replied, "I don't need to read his book and I don't need to answer that question. I think he answered it himself."

The full article is a great read for New Order fans. Read the entire feature over at The Telegraph.
