Depeche Mode return with a new single "Heaven" on January 25th. The official video for "Heaven" was shot by Anton Corbijn in New Orleans according to a report in Rolling Stone (translated version). The single precedes the new full length album from Depeche Mode which is scheduled for a March 25th release in Europe (a North American date is pending).
Martin Gore and Dave Gahan previously commented on the sound of the still untitled new album - Gore said the new album is musically similar to Violator and Songs Of Faith & Devotion, while Gahan revealed the album is somewhat organic and live sounding:
"it's not a blues record but it definitely has a soulful vibe. During the recording process we really tried to get the elements of performing and the live show into the album more"
