Gary Numan - Splinter to drop next year + video from Manchester gig

Gary Numan has been on the road in the U.K. playing dates in support of his Dead Moon Falling remix album.  Numan took some time out of his busy schedule last week to answer some fan questions hosted by The Guardian. During the chat, Numan revealed he'll release a new album titled Splinter in 2013:

"It should be finished by mid March and so we are looking towards a late summer release for it...I think it will be more electronic actually. I'm not hearing the need for big guitars all over it at the moment. Some, but I think the emphasis is moving back towards heavy electronic."

Another collaboration with Trent Reznor may be in the future:

"We've talked about doing something together a few times but never got it together...I hope so, I'm a great admirer of his music and his entire work ethic so it would interesting to see what we would come up with."

Numan also said he'll release a live DVD titled Music Machine next year, hopes to tour Splinter in as many places as possible, and revealed he writes most of his songs on piano. Read the full chat with Gary Numan over at the Guardian.
