The Smiths - Strangeways documentary + new biography

A recent British radio documentary on The Smiths' classic 1987 album Strangeways Here We Come and the band's final days has appeared online. The BBC special features new interviews with Mike Joyce, Andy Rourke and producer Stephen Street, as well as some old interview clips with Morrissey and Johnny Marr. The Tony Fletcher penned book is a celebration of the Smiths and their legacy.  According to the publisher, A Light That Never Goes Out: The Enduring Saga Of The Smiths was the product of extensive research, dozens of interviews, and unprecedented access.  A short video interview with Fletcher is posted below.  A Light That Never Goes Out: The Enduring Saga Of The Smiths is out now in the U.K. and will be released in North America on December 4th.  Interesting to note the U.K. cover (black background) is different than the U.S. version (orange background).
