Joy Division's famed Warsaw sessions were recorded in May 1978 but never officially released, though bootleg copies of the scrapped sessions have been floating around for years. It seems every so often a "new" version of the bootleg gets released, though all of the bootlegs are pretty rough sounding. This time around Analog Loyalist, a site which has provided some excellent New Order archives in the past (and apparently with the band's consent, or at least with their knowledge) has taken a shot at remastering the Joy Division rarity. According to the site, they took the original 1989 CD bootleg release, cleaned it up a bit and smoothed out a few previously cut off intros. They are now offering up the new version (and apparently with permission!) as a free FLAC download. Find out more and download here.
