Analog Loyalist, the sound engineer who lovingly remastered Joy Division's Warsaw sessions and recently made them available as a free FLAC download has put his magic to work again! This time Analog Loyalist (aka Drew Crumbaugh) took Joy Division's February 8, 1980 concert recorded at the University of London and refined the sound. The concert was previously released in 2007 as bonus content on the Closer reissue, but Crumbaugh was disappointed in the remaster, so he put his remastering skills to work. Crumbaugh's new and improved version (one he hopes will eventually be reissued by Rhino) is now available as a free FLAC download. Major props to Crumbaugh for his painstaking work on such an awesome project! Read more about the project here and download the free FLAC files here. (via Spin)
