The Replacements have reunited and will be releasing an ep later this year! Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson recently recorded four cover songs to benefit ex-guitarist Slim Dunlap, who is recovering from a stroke. Only 250 vinyl copies of the ep will be pressed, and all copies will be auctioned off online. Though the reunion is so far just a four-track ep, Westerberg told Rolling Stone that a new album and/or tour "is possible." The report which is posted here also reveals that Chris Mars was asked to participate, but declined.
Rolling Stone also is hosting an exclusive video of Jeff Corbett talking about the Replacements and the 'Mats documentary Color Me Obsessed, which will be released on DVD November 20th.
